Besides its antioxidant properties, increasingly important nowadays, vitamin C stimulates the natural synthesis of collagen in the skin and also inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, involved in the synthesis of melanin, which, when produced in excess, causes unsightly spots.

One of the most difficult challenges in dermocosmetic formulation containing vitamin C is related to the limited stability of this active ingredient. In its pure form (ascorbic acid), vitamin C is not very stable and easily suffers oxidation phenomenon, losing its efficacy and properties. Air, water, heat are some of the factors that promote the oxidation of ascorbic acid.
Sesderma guarantees maximum effectiveness and stability of vitamin C because the C-VIT range is formulated with a stabilized vitamin C derivative - 3-ethyl ascorbic acid*, which keeps the main properties of ascorbic acid and is much more resistant to oxidation.
In addition, the nanotechnology - a differentiating concept at Sesderma, is also present in this range. The stabilized vitamin C derivative, is in C-VIT, in the liposomal form, that is, encapsulated in liposomes, which gives it extra protection against oxidative phenomena. The nanotechnology will also be an advantage in the penetration of the active in the skin. Liposomes have a structure analogous to the biological membranes that constitute skin cells - they both consist of phospholipids organized in a double layer. This results in a high affinity between the liposomes carrying the vitamin C and the skin cells, which enables significantly higher penetration levels compared to free vitamin C not encapsulated in liposomes. Now available in Portugal, the Skin Roller C-Vit Radiance promises to provide all the benefits of the C-Vit range thanks to the dual absorption concept.
This is a device inspired by professional microneedling treatments composed by a head and an ampoule. The head, with 540 needles of 0.25 mm, when sliding over the surface of the skin, promotes the elimination of dead cells and increases the absorption of the active principles of the ampoule in the deeper layers of the skin. In addition, the active ingredients in the ampoule are liposomed, which, as we have seen, also favors greater penetration. Thanks to the double absorption resulting from the alliance between nanotechnology and the micro roller, it is possible to reach levels of penetration of the actives in the skin that guarantee their maximum effectiveness, for the best results.
Regarding the mode of application, in a first step, the head must be inserted in the ampoule. Then, press the dispenser to dispense the product and, finally, slide it over the previously clean and dry skin, always with linear and smooth movements, without pressing.
We recommend bidirectional linear movements, first horizontally and then vertically, doing 2-3 in the following areas:
